Come experience this playful and exploratory workshop with Kaye and Melanie that combines yoga and hoop-dance for core strength and moving meditation. Both hula hooping and yoga tone the body, strengthen the core, increase flexibility and balance, and quiet the mind. No hoop or yoga experience necessary, and hoops are provided for class. Please bring a yoga mat, water, and a curious mind.

Ashtanga Intensive with Dena and Jack

Dena's classes will be a combination of conducted, instructional and Mysore Style. This is a rare and wonderful opportunity for ashtanga students in the Bay Area to get a chance to study with Dena. She and her family will be coming here from Australia. Dena and Jack will be teaching in Berkeley for 1 week and in San Francisco for 1 week. Dena is an amazingly heart centered teacher who has incredible insight and wisdom into the practice of ashtanga yoga.
About Dena . . .
Dena Kingsberg, native Australian, has been studying and practicing traditional ashtanga yoga for over 25 years. Having completed the fourth series in 1996 she has been certified to teach by Sri K.Pattabhi Jois of Mysore South India. Dena and Jack were married by Guruji in 1997 and the arrival of Zoli 10 and Izac 7 has completed the picture. Life is full and sweet.

Andrew Thomas is a certified Ayurvedic Health Practitioner through the California College of Ayurveda. His Ayurvedic studies have been primarily been guided by Dr. Marc Halpern and Ayurvedacharya Mary Thompson.
