Support for Well-being
A HOLISTIC APPROACH
Well-being is a holistic state of being that encompasses physical, mental, social, and emotional health. I have been working with clients in helping them achieve their optimal well-being for over two decades. Optimal well-being is not just the absence of illness and disease. But rather, it is a state of being that integrates embodiment, life satisfaction, joy, steadiness, and support. I think the best approach meets clients where they are. I use a myriad of tools in order to provide the best and most effective support. Each client I work with comes in with their own history, life experiences, habits, and understanding of health and vitality. Through deep listening, support, guidance, information, and care, I will help you lean into your best self. We all have the capacity to thrive, yet many of us are surviving on auto pilot. Depending on your individual needs, we will use various strategies including nutrition/wellness coaching, somatic body sensing, yoga, meditation, spiritual exploration, and cleanses.

WELL-BEING SERIES
This series includes an initial assessment that you can expect to last 60 minutes. During this session you will have a chance to talk about whatever is on your mind that you need support with. We will discuss any and all areas in your life where you can use support, accountability and help to move forward. We will also take a comprehensive look at your nutrition. This information will help me develop your own personalized health program to work toward creating more health, balance, and vitality in your life. You may be asked to complete various health assessments depending upon your needs. After I review your intake forms and health assessments, we will meet to discuss a plan for wellness and health. The 6-session package is for people who would like the benefit of wellness and nutrition support but who don’t have time for weekly sessions and would like their sessions more spread out. Follow-up sessions last 30-50 minutes. These sessions are intended to help you with health and wellness goals.

NUTRITION COACHING
I will assist you in creating a personalized program based on your health history and health assessment profiles. I will provide you with nutritional recommendations including diet and menu planning, optional supplements, and if needed, I will suggest laboratory tests based on your individual needs and health goals. In addition to nutrition, lifestyle factors will also be addressed. These include stress management, parenting, sleep, exercise, social support, and the environment in which you live/work.

Because I believe the only way to make sustainable change is to understand your underlying triggers, we dive deep together to explore your patterns. This will help empower you to be an active participant in maintaining your health. If you are dealing with a health diagnosis, that will remain our priority, while addressing overall health at the same time. More about my approach.

WELL-BEING COACHING
We will use coaching when needed to address life’s challenges. Difficulties in life affect us on many levels: emotional, physical, and spiritual, and you need a place to land and sort through what tools you have, and what tools you need, to nourish yourself as you journey to well-being. As clients are open to it, we utilize connection to spiritual practices to provide even more lasting support. I help you no matter what the circumstances. I have supported people with, and through, many issues, such as mental health crises, parenting struggles, chronic inflammation, weight gain, transition into motherhood, fertility issues, fatigue, divorce, grief and loss, stress, work transition, change in life, and just plain nourishment for the life you want to live.

SOMATIC BODY SENSING
I will help you integrate your mind, body, spirit connection by guiding you to connect with your body and where you hold stress, stories, experiences, injuries, and pain in your physical body. I will do this gently and at a pace that feels right to you. By going into the body with deep listening, you will be able to release stuck emotions, patterns, and coping strategies, resulting in a freer body and mind. ​

PRIVATE YOGA
We will use private yoga instruction and/or meditation as a means to help you connect with your physical body, quiet the mind, ease body pain, gain strength and flexibility and create an overall sense of well-being and calm.

Private Yoga instruction is also available separately for anyone who is interested in receiving one on one attention for their existing or new yoga practice. Private instruction is quite helpful in assisting students who want to deepen their existing yoga practice or for beginning students who want to jumpstart their yoga practice. You will be given a yoga sequence to practice at home, as well as receiving adjustments, hands-on feedback, and help with meeting your yoga goals. More about private yoga sessions.

CLEANSE SUPPORT
Cleanse support will be used when there is a need for cleansing the body. Cleanses help rid your body of toxins, lower inflammation, strengthen your immune system, reboot your metabolism, and reset your taste buds. In just a few weeks, you can begin to experience results and look forward to continued improvement. I use cleanses based on Ayurveda, juice cleanses, grain and meat-free cleanses and an elimination cleanse as needed.

I will help you with cleanse prep, support you during the length of your cleanse, and help you with food re-introduction. It has been said that anyone can cleanse, but it takes an incredibly wise soul to end a cleanse.

These appointments are available to any student who is interested in receiving one-on-one assistance with nutrition or wellness coaching. Session may be conducted in person, via Zoom or by phone.
